The Atlantic Inn, on Block Island, welcomes travelers to a relaxing retreat. Set high on a hill, just outside of town the Atlantic Inn is a truly unique and quiet location to savor the delights of Block Island. Looking out from the Inn's wraparound veranda, guests are treated to breathtaking views of Old Harbor and the ocean beyond.

The Atlantic Inn first opened its doors in 1879, as an inn and has served in that capacity or as a boarding house continuously since that time. The Inn's 21 antique filled guest rooms are individually decorated and offer the traveler quiet simplicity. Each individually decorated and antique filled guest room are located on the second and third floors all have private baths and telephones (BUT no televisions or radios) and off a true "getaway" from the modern world.

The expansive grounds are dotted with flowerbeds and paths that are perfect for peaceful strolls, explore the grape arbor enclosed raised-bed flower and herb gardens which are used by Brad & Anne ( "Keepers of the Inn" ) to decorate the Inn as well as by Executive Chef Aaron Wisniewski and his staff in the Inn's "Acclaimed" restaurant in their nightly dining creations.

Enjoy invigorating games of tennis on the Inn's two enclosed tennis courts, or perhaps a game of croquet or horseshoes if you are up for the challenge.
