The Atlantic is located one mile from the Block Island Ferry. Guests can reach the property in just a few minutes by taxi, moped, bicycle, or car. It is a walking distance as well.
The Atlantic does not offer shuttle service. Taxis are typically available at the ferry upon arrival.
Yes. The Atlantic is about a 15 minute walk from the ferry. Please note that the walk includes some uphill sections and may be challenging with luggage.
Parking is available at several lots near the ferry terminals in Point Judith, RI (if taking Block Island Express. Parking lots are located near the ferry terminals in New London, CT). We recommend visiting the ferry operator's website for current parking information.
Popular transportation options include bicycles, mopeds, taxis, golf carts, and personal vehicles. Many guests enjoy exploring the island by bicycle and moped.
The Atlantic does not offer rentals, but our sister hotel, The Rose Farm Inn, has a bike rental store, Beach Rose Bicycles, located right on property!
Check-in begins at 4:00PM and check-out is at 11:00AM.
Absolutely! If your room is not yet ready, you are welcome to enjoy the property and restaurant areas while you wait.
Yes. We are happy to store your luggage before check-in and after check-out so you can enjoy more time on Block Island.
Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the front desk prior to your arrival or departure for availability.
Please contact the front desk before your arrival date if you expect to arrive later in the day. We will provide instructions for a smooth after-hours check-in experience.
Unfortunately no. The Atlantic is a historic property and does not have elevators. But we do have staff who can happily assist you with luggage if needed.
Yes. All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort.
No. The Atlantic does not have mini fridges/coffee makers in the room. But we are happy to store refrigerated items for you through the duration of your stay. Additionally, The Atlantic has coffee and tea available for at all hours of the day located in our lobby!
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Yes. The Atlantic is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, indoor public spaces, and the veranda.

Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is available for registered hotel/restaurant guests!
Yes. Guests are welcome to store bicycles on the property. Please contact the front desk upon arrival for details.
The front desk will be open during peak season from 8AM to 8PM. Hours may change based off early/late season.
Yes, complimentary beach towels are available for hotel guests and can be picked up at the front desk during office hours. The Atlantic does not provide beach chairs and umbrellas. However, guests visiting Fred Benson Town Beach can rent both chairs and umbrellas directly from the pavilion.
Unfortunately, The Atlantic does not provide beach coolers for guest use.
The closest beach is Fred Benson Town Beach, located on Corn Neck Road, about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. The beach offers restroom facilities and concessions through Rebecca's on the Beach.
Absolutely! Complimentary coffee and tea are available daily begging at 8AM in the lobby. After the front desk closes for the evening, complimentary espresso pods are available for guests to enjoy.
Yes! The Atlantic Restaurant is open seasonally and welcomes both hotel guests and island visitors.
Dinner service is offered daily from 5PM to 9PM. Seasonal takeaway sandwich lunch service available Wednesday thru Sunday. Saturday and Sunday dine in lunch service is available.
Breakfast is not included with your stay at The Atlantic. However complimentary pastries are available for hotel guests beginning at 8AM each morning in the lobby. Freshly baked cookies are also available daily after 12:00PM. Guests looking for a full breakfast may purchase at the Rose Farm Inn. Please contact the front desk for current pricing and availability.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during the peak summer season. Guests interested in making a dinner reservation may call (401) 466-5883, speak with a front desk agent, or make a reservation through our website or OpenTable.
No. The Atlantic does not offer room service.
The bar opens daily at 5PM. Depending on availability, front desk staff may be able to assist guests with beverage service outside standard bar hours.
Yes! There are numerous restaurants located in Old Harbor and throughout the town. Our front desk team would be happy to provide recommendations based on your tastes and preferences! We all have our favorites.
All cancellations are subject to a fee equal to 10% of the reservation total and must be made at least twenty-one (21) days prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled within twenty-one (21) days of arrival are non-refundable, and no changes are permitted. No refunds or credits are provided for early departures or no-shows.
No. Pets are not permitted at The Atlantic.
Yes. Service animals are always welcome in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
During peak season and holiday weekends, a two-night minimum stay may apply.
Yes. Full payment for the reservation is required at the time of booking.
The Atlantic accepts all major credit cards. Please note that The Atlantic is a cashless establishment.
Yes! Gift cards for the hotel can be purchased through Gift Up! Guests interested in purchasing restaurant-specific gift cards are encouraged to call us directly at (401) 466-5883!
Reservation modifications are subject to availability. Please note that if a modification results in a credit balance, refunds are not available.
Yes! The Atlantic proudly hosts weddings, rehearsal dinners, welcome receptions, farewell brunches, and other private events throughout the season!
